What is Card-O-Rama?
Point your phone or webcam at a trading card and it identifies the card, estimates its value, reads its condition, and suggests smart trades — then helps you track your collection over time. It also helps you with fair trades. There's a "for later" section where you store future trades you might do, plus a virtual binder and wishlist.
Which cards does it work with?
Pokémon, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, cricket, and hockey — modern and vintage, including parallels, autos, relics, rookies, short prints, and serial-numbered cards.
Is it free?
Yes — you can scan, appraise, build a binder and wishlist, check trades, and get the morning briefing for free.
How do I scan a card?
Open Scan, use your camera or upload a photo, and line the card up inside the on-screen frame — it doesn't have to fill the whole screen, it crops to the box. For the sharpest read, use good lighting and hold steady; blurry shots get flagged so you can retake. You can add multiple photos of a card, including the back, for extra accuracy.
Can I scan many cards at once?
Yes. Use the bulk feature and get the same results as a single scan.
I don't have the card in hand — can I still look it up?
Yes. Use Search and just describe the card (player, set, year, parallel) to get the same value, stats, and trade ideas.
How accurate are the values?
Every card is priced from real, live market data — not a guess. Prices come from matching eBay listings and, for Pokémon, the official card catalog (TCGplayer/Cardmarket). We match the comps to your exact card: a raw card is priced against raw copies (graded slabs excluded), and a plain base card against base copies only, so a refractor or autograph never inflates your number. Obvious reprints, customs, and novelty listings are filtered out. If a card has no parallel or chrome markings, it's treated as the regular base version so the value stays consistent. They're strong, grounded estimates — not a guaranteed sale price — so sanity-check before a big trade.
I got a card graded — can I record that?
Yes. Open the card in your binder and press Grade, pick the company (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, TAG) and type the grade you received. The card is re-priced against graded sales of that grade, keeps a slab badge, and shows you how much the grade changed its value compared with the raw card.
How does the trade checker decide if a trade is fair?
It judges the players first — caliber, stature, and collectibility — and treats price as secondary. A gap of under about $10 is always fair, and giving several cards to get one better card isn't held against you (that's normal consolidation, not a loss). Verdicts read simply: Fair, Better for you, or Better for them.
Can I see my collection's value over time?
Yes — the home screen shows a chart of your total collection value over 30 days, 90 days, or a year, along with your biggest movers. It fills in as prices refresh each day.
Can I share a card?
Press Share on any binder card and it creates an image of the card — photo, player, set, value, and grade — ready to post. On a phone it opens your share sheet; on a computer it downloads the image.
Can I trade with other people?
Yes. Add friends by username, then use Find to search which of your friends has a card you want, browse their binder, and send an offer. Cards you want are outlined red and their favourites yellow. You can accept, decline, or send a counter-offer, and chat with them while you trade. Trading is friends-only.
What if a card is identified wrong?
Press Edit on the card in your binder, correct the description (year, brand, set, player, parallel), and it re-identifies, re-prices, and refreshes the photo.
What is the morning briefing?
A daily update on your players and cards — real, dated results and trends across the sports and TCGs you follow. Sections about your binder and wishlist only appear once you actually have cards in them. It also includes other general news.
How is my data stored? Who can see my cards?
Your collection is stored on your own device, and when you sign in it's also saved to your private account so it syncs across devices. Your binder is private: by default only friends you've accepted can view it, and you can change that under Settings → Privacy & security. Your information is never sold. Can I download or delete my data?
Yes, both. Settings → Privacy & security → Download my data gives you a full copy of your account as a file, and Settings → Delete account permanently erases your account and everything in it straight away.
I forgot my password.
On the login screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email — a reset code is sent to the address on your account. You can sign in with either your username or your email. Resetting your password signs you out everywhere.
How do I keep my account secure?
Passwords are stored only in a hashed, unreadable form, sign-in attempts are rate limited, and sessions expire if unused. If you think someone else has access, use Settings → Privacy & security → Sign out everywhere to end every session, then change your password.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — it's a web app, so it runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. It removes your account and all of its data right away.
